Moderator Duties

The duties of our moderators in Eternal Paradise.

Support Tickets

The biggest duty of moderators is support tickets. Helpers are unable to see support tickets, and moderators are expected to handle them.

Support tickets may require talking to multiple members, and or investigating an issue or accusations by checking the logs or message history in channel(s).

If you need to talk to other members to solve an issue, you can pull them into a ticket.

Advanced Moderation

Moderators may need to mute, kick, or ban users for severe rule breaks/infractions. Sapphire will automatically notify moderators and admins in staff-lounge when a user reaches the 3 warn threshold.

Moderators are expected to periodically check the chats for staff-related pings. If a member has pinged you or one of your roles, please respond to them and investigate the issue ASAP.

It's up to you to determine the appropriate punishment for an offence. If you are unsure, discuss it with your peers in a staff chat and come to a consensus. All members must be punished fairly, and you can't give different punishments to different people that commit the same offence.

Assisting Helpers

Moderators are expected to assist helpers when they are requested. Helpers don't have the ability to kick, mute, or ban members, so you'll need to step in for that.

Helpers are instructed to ping a moderator or admin if they need any sort of help, or don't know what to do. Please be patient with our helpers and do whatever you can to assist when needed.
